Contests in New Leaf

Veterans of Animal Crossing will be familiar with most of the contests in New Leaf.  Seasonal Contests that are repeated in the course of any year are the Bug-Off and the Fishing Tourney.  The rules for the Bug-Off, a summer contest, never vary.    Insects that you submit are judged by point value ON A RANDOM BASIS.  It is not simply a question of size but of 'lustre' an intangible that the player cannot see or discover.  The same insect, if entered twice through the magic of 'reloading' may have two quite different point values.
